Share-a-Kid Program

Each year, the Wisconsin Dairy Goat Association promotes interest in dairy goats in our state.  One of the ways we encourage our young people in this aspect of agriculture is through our Share-a-Kid Program.  We award an average of 4 to 6 dairy goat kids with young people across the state each year.  Some years we have been able to award more.

The selection committee will meet and choose winners.  Everyone will be notified by mid-May about the status of their entry.  Entries will be accepted from January 1  until March 15.

2025 Share-A-Kid Winners

he future of our state youth depends upon mentors and farms who want to see them succeed, Wisconsin sure has no shortage of love for their youth!
The WDGA Share-A-Kid program awards on average 5 animals per year in a very competitive contest backed by local farms around Wisconsin and beyond. We have had animals donated from multiple states in past and even benefited youth in addition to our own Wisconsin kids.
To all winners, congratulations! To all the farms who generously donated, you make this industry the best place to be 👏 And to Andrew Puetz for keeping this program rolling and giving countless hours all year to it, thank you for making this all possible as the WDGA Share-A-Kid Chair Lead.
